Penlac

Penlac is a type of topical solution or cream and lotions which contains a synthetic anti fungal agent, ciclopirox. It is used on the toe nail immediately at the adjacent skin. The chemical name of ciclopirox is 6-cyclohexyl-1-hydroxy-4-methyl-2(1H)-pyridone. It is useful for the anti fungal therapy.

In general terms the ciclopirox topical cream and lotion formulations are used for the treatment of skin infections like ringworm, jock itch, athlete's foot and yeast infections. Precautions:

Ethyl acetate and isopropyl alcohol are a solvent that vaporizes after application.
